Long-Term Research Study

Recently a long term study completed at the University of Eastern Finland revealed promising information for women in their 60s and 70s. Three groups of women were compared including satisfied, the middle group, and dissatisfied. Each of the participants was provided surveys and bone density measurements during the research period.

During the ten-year research project published in Psychosomatic Medicine, bone testing revealed all participants overall in both groups decreased an average of four percent (4%) at the ten-year mark. When comparing the satisfied and dissatisfied group of women, the difference in bone density was more than fifty percent (50%). For individuals who were once satisfied, then became dissatisfied with life, they held even higher negative changes (up to 85% change).

A Satisfied Life

A satisfied life brings health to the body and the bones. Being truly happy is very important, and it is also considered an indicator of wellbeing. Be content in life while holding a great frame of mind helps the body to fight against diseases such as osteoporosis. This is especially important during the elderly years.

Ways to Increase Satisfaction

Ways to increase satisfaction include keeping the body healthy and free of toxins, lowering stress levels within the body. It also means keeping emotionally healthy, staying away from negative emotions, adding forgiveness and peace, while reducing stressors. Taking the time to feel good about oneself is obviously very important to health. Spending time with special friends is equally important. Take more positive action by adding physical activities to your routine. Look for great ways to increase satisfaction in life!
